Mesothelioma-cause Asbestosis Debris Forces postponement of basketball Game

Officers of the New York Knicks postponed Tuesday night NBA game at Madison Square Garden between the Knicks and the Orlando Magic after debris that may have contained asbestos fell into the arena.  Asbestos is a known carcinogen and is known to cause mesothelioma, a serious cancer caused by inhaled asbestos fibers.

According to fell the Associated Press, junk when maintenance was performed after Monday's New York Rangers hockey game, which contained "detergents asbestos in the attic area above the ceiling."

Knicks decided to postpone the game for security reasons and said in a released statement that they will resume Garden "until we are completely confident arena is safe."
