Organization dedicated to Funding research for early cancer Detection, may depend on another test for Mesothelioma diagnosis

The deadly disease mesothelioma is close to 3,000 Americans in diagnosed each year. Only established this cancer caused by exposure to asbestos, gives it a rare distinction between cancer is preventable.  With a delayed response time, sometimes as many as 50 years after exposure, those who have already been exposed to carcinogenic, however, to improve their survival through early detection.

Mesothelioma diagnosis is usually after Symptoms appear and the disease has reached far leave patients with life-threatening complications; Dr.Helen Davies, a researcher at Oxford University is working on developing a test that can provide earlier detection of mesothelioma said an earlier diagnosis "can faster action to alleviate symptoms and initiation of other treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy."

While ongoing research is carried out to find a cure for mesothelioma, move some researchers their focus to improve early detection methods; an organization that agree with this approach is the Canary Foundation.  The Canary Islands is a Canadian-based "non-profit are intended exclusively for financing, discovery and development of tests for early cancer detection."

Early detection of all cancers can promote a patient survival by increasing treatment options and provides valuable time doctors to treat the disease.Canary Foundation's philosophy is to combine all the research dollars to cancer Diagnostics industry; the Canary Islands has found that only 15% of research funding goes to the early detection, early intervention is found to be more effective than late stage treatment.

Scientists believe that the screening test must be correct, the economic and non-invasive before they have a chance to succeed. Canary Foundation hope to someday cancer screening test will be as simple as testing for high cholesterol.
